How we calculate FBA item pallets
- Try every L x W x H orientation for the carton.
- Floor divide pallet dimensions by carton footprint to get cartons per layer.
- Floor divide max stack height by carton height to get layers.
- Compare space capacity to pallet weight limit (carton weight x capacity).
- Pick the orientation that yields the most cartons; break ties by more per layer.
